NEED TO KNOW

  • Dove is bringing us back to the early 2000s with a cheeky, infomercial-style teaser inspired by NOW That’s What I Call Music!
  • The teaser previews Dove’s newly reformulated Whole Body Deo Alcohol-Free Spray — and a very real chance to score Grammys tickets
  • Enter the Dove Hot Seats: Grammys Edition Sweepstakes, where three lucky winners will snag 2026 Grammys seats for themselves and a plus-one

If you ever found yourself begging your parents for the latest NOW That’s What I Call Music! CD (or rewinding one of those famous infomercials just to catch the jingle again), Dove has a new surprise that feels right out of the early 2000s. And yes, it involves dialing a phone number.

Ahead of its upcoming Grammys spot, Dove is rolling out a new teaser dubbed NOW That’s What I Call Hot! set to the beat of the major 2005 hit with “Don’t Cha” by The Pussycat Dolls. The infomercial-inspired clip leans all the way into Y2K vibes, complete with over-the-top enthusiasm, throwback energy and a not-so-subtle wink to the iconic compilation franchise that once ruled mall kiosks everywhere (remember all the time spent at Sam Goody?). But instead of promising 30 chart-toppers for $19.99, Dove is spotlighting its newly reformulated Whole Body Deo Alcohol-Free Spray (without the burn!), and launching a sweepstakes that’s hotter than a TRL countdown.

Enter: the Dove Hot Seats 2.0: Grammys Edition Sweepstakes, marking the return of the brand’s consumer-first program that will give fans access to the hottest music moments throughout the year. Rather than tapping a link or scanning a QR code, Dove is asking fans to do something delightfully retro: pick up the phone. Starting Friday, Jan. 9, at 12:01 a.m. ET, hopefuls can call 1-855-DOVE-WBD (1-855-368-3923) for a chance to win tickets to the 68th Annual Grammy Awards, where they can dance the night away with total confidence thanks to Dove’s Whole Body Deo.

Here’s how it works: call the hotline, listen to the prompts, and leave a voicemail sharing, in just a few words, what makes you feel hot. That voicemail counts as one official entry, with one entry allowed per person. The hotline stays open for 72 hours — a clever nod to Dove Deo’s all-over freshness that lasts up to 72 hours — and closes Monday, Jan. 12, 12:01 a.m. ET,

Once the line goes dead, three winners will be selected at random. Each winner scores two seats to the 2026 Grammy Awards in L.A., one for themselves and one lucky plus-one, along with exclusive fan access. Additional runner-up prizes will also be awarded, proving that even if you don’t snag the ultimate hot seat, there’s still plenty to go around.

“Fan engagement is the ultimate cultural currency, and Hot Seats proved it in year one. We didn’t just connect with fans; we met them where they were and brought to life music as a passion point for the brand,” said Kevin Tolson, Head of Dove & SheaMoisture Deodorants at Unilever. “Dove is already the deodorant brand that is most top of mind for consumers, Hot Seats helped us double down. With 95% of young adults craving real-world experiences that tie back to what they love online, we’re taking it up a notch in year two by scaling the program to turn those ‘out of reach’ moments into real fan access.”

The full sweepstakes rules live at nowthatswhaticallhot.com, but the real takeaway is this: Dove is having fun with it. Between the nostalgic infomercial aesthetic, the throwback hotline mechanic, and the biggest night in music on the line, the brand is reminding fans that sometimes the best ideas are the ones that feel a little retro and a lot unforgettable.
