Demario Douglas start or sit: Week 10 fantasy football advice

The 7-2 New England Patriots head to Tampa Bay to take on the 6-2 Buccaneers as 2.5-point road underdogs on Sunday. The Buccaneers should be well rested, as they are coming off their bye, while the Patriots are coming off their sixth win in a row, a nail biter against the Falcons. One of the stars of last week’s win for the Patriots was slot receiver Demario Douglas, who caught 4-of-6 passes for 100 yards and a touchdown.

Below, we’ll go over Demario Douglas’ outlook in fantasy football for Week 10.

Fantasy Football analysis: Patriots, WR, Demario Douglas

Picking the correct receiver for fantasy from the Patriots pass catchers is fraught with peril. Quarterback Drake Maye has been the best deep passer in the league and when he connects with someone, it doesn’t take many targets to make them fantasy viable. Receiver Kayshon Boutte has been one of those tough to start in fantasy receivers, who also seems to hit more often than not. But an injury kept him out last week and that happens to be when Douglas connected with Maye on a deep touchdown. The good news is that Douglas saw six targets, which is a lot in this offense.

Boutte is out again this week in Tampa Bay, which could again push work Douglas’ way. We’ll need to rely on big plays for the most part, but that’s not a bad bet with Maye chucking the ball.
