Hunting within national park boundaries is highly illegal and carries both state and federal penalties that can include prison time and fines. No additional details are available at this time about the specifics of what happened beyond the information that has been released. While poaching unfortunately most certainly occurs in many of the national parks, it is rare for such a case to occur out in the open like this.
If you or anyone you know might have information that can help you, report it to the National Park Service anonymously through any of these methods.
