Local area law enforcement agencies are working with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) on a death investigation case.
Sources in Atlanta media and eyewitness accounts throughout Hall County say that several law enforcement vehicles were at scenes near Flowery Branch along Couch Road for hours on Sunday evening, while another police investigation scene Sunday afternoon had blocked off a portion of the Sam’s Club parking lot in Oakwood after 12:00 p.m.
There is no confirmation that the two separate scenes are at all related, as of the time of this publication.
Multiple eyewitness accounts confirmed the law enforcement presence outside of the Oakwood Sam’s Club parking lot Sunday afternoon, but no word from Oakwood Police, Flowery Branch Police or Hall County Sheriff’s office on the exact reasons behind the blocked portion of the lot.
GBI confirmed with WSB-TV Sunday night that they are assisting the Hall County Sheriff’s Office with a death investigation case, but no further details were made available and a press release on the investigation was not posted on the GBI’s web page as of early Monday morning.
