
Dawson County Manager Joey Leverette recently released a list of proposed projects to be funded by a Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (SPLOST) should voters approve it later this year.
The projects include, but are not limited to:
- A new park south of 400
- Current park improvements
- EMS & Sheriff’s departments
- Facilities improvements/refurbishments
- New vehicles (ambulances, firetrucks, patrol cars, etc.)
- Vehicle maintenance
- Public Works recycling center rehabilitation
- Roads & other infrastructure projects
- Greenway/master trail plan near 400 to improve pedestrian space
- And more
