Cross Country: NHall girls win 3A title; area teams place in top 5

CARROLLTON, Ga. – The North Hall girls cross country team captured the Class 3A state championship on Saturday at Carrollton High School.
It was North Hall’s second straight state title.
North Hall sophomore Summer Muxlow won the individual title, whith teammate Ealyn Kennedy finishd third.
The Lady Trojans beat Oconee County to win, while Dawson County came in third, followed by White County, Chestatee, and Jefferson.

Chestatee’s Emma Dobson finished second in the individual. Dawson County’s Hayden Hand was fourth, and White County’s Julie Black was fifth.

On the boys’ side, the Trojans finished runner-up for the second time in as many seasons. Oconee County finished in the top spot, followed by Lumpkin County in third and Cherokee Bluff in fourth. Johnson finished eighth and Jefferson ninth.

Lumpkin County’s Witt Windham placed second overall. Mason Hill from North Hall was eighth, and Jefferson’s Finn Wakeman and Cherokee Bluff’s Grant McDuffie rounded out the top 10.
