The County Manager serves as the chief administrative officer and head of the administrative branch.
– The Board of Commissioners holds the primary policy-making role in the county.
– Day-to-day executive responsibilities are assigned to the County Manager.
– The County Manager serves at the pleasure of the Board of Commissioners and is under their oversight.
**Duties and Responsibilities of the County Manager:**
– Supervise department managers and employees.
– Advise on policy formulation and take direct responsibility for policy implementation.
– Enforce county ordinances, policies, regulations, resolutions, and rules.
– Appoint and remove department managers and employees.
– Perform additional duties as assigned or delegated by the Board.
