Cooper Kupp injury: What status means for Week 10 vs. Cardinals

The Seattle Seahawks are so hot right now. Quarterback Sam Darnold is coming off one of the best first half performances of all time last Sunday night against the Commanders and now gets the addition of deep threat Rashid Shaheed to his target tree. And Darnold may need him quickly, as the Seahawks receiver depth is hurting at the moment. Among other injuries, starting slot receiver Cooper Kupp missed last week’s game with a hamstring injury and is considered questionable for this week.

Cooper Kupp injury updates

Kupp has been dealing with hamstring and heel issues lately, which kept him out last week. This week he didn’t practice on Wednesday, was limited on Thursday and then got in a full practice on Friday. He will ended up as questionable despite the full practice, but a Friday full practice is usually a positive sign.

Fantasy football analysis

Rookie wide receiver Tory Horton is doubtful with a shin injury this week, which likely means a quick turnaround for Shaheed to see a big workload. If they hadn’t traded for Shaheed, I’d expect Kupp would be forced into a bigger role if he plays, but at this point, he’ll likely continue to see his average of 4.7 targets. He still has starting upside in fantasy, but there are too many strong players to feed in the Seahawks offense right now. If Kupp plays, he can be left on the bench in most leagues.
