The Coal Mountain Recycling Center at 3560 Settingdown Road will temporarily close beginning on Oct. 3.
The Forsyth County Government said the recycling center needs repairs and improvements, and they expect it to reopen by mid-October. Updates on the progress can be found here.
The improvements include making the trash and cardboard compactor hoppers more easily accessible to visitors, interior office floor improvements and pit area cement replacement.
The following recycling centers remain open:
- Old Atlanta Center at 3678 Old Atlanta Road, Suwanee – (770) 205-3010
- Tolbert Street Center at 351 Tolbert Street, Cumming – (770) 781-2176
