Week 10 of the 2025 NFL season rolls on and the action will continue this afternoon with an NFC South showdown featuring the New Orleans Saints visiting the Carolina Panthers at 1 p.m. ET on FOX.

The Panthers have won four its last five games heading into today’s contest and are fresh off a surprise 16-13 victory over the Packers at Lambeau Field last Sunday. Running back Chuba Hubbard didn’t contribute much in that win and red warning lights are flashing surrounding his viability as a fantasy starter for the rest of the season.

Below, we’ll go over Hubbard’s outlook in fantasy football for Week 10.

Fantasy Football analysis: Panthers RB Chuba Hubbard

Hubbard recorded just five carries for 17 yards in last week’s victory over the Packers, seeing a season-low 13 snaps in the contest. The writing has been on the wall for a few weeks that the fifth-year back had been surpassed by Rico Dowdle and last Sunday’s game at Lambeau was the full manifestation of that. If the point hadn’t already been driven home, the Panthers officially listed Dowdle as the starter on their depth chart this week.

There were some murmurs of a potential Hubbard trade ahead of Tuesday’s deadline, but the franchise ultimately decided to retain the veteran as they poke their heads into the NFC playoff picture. We’ll see if Hubbard can still excel in his new role.

Start. Hubbard managers may not be thrilled with him being in a backup/handcuff role, but it doesn’t mean he can’t still put up start-worthy numbers. That especially rings true this week against a Saints defense that has given up the sixth-most rushing yards to opposing running backs this season. I expect the Panthers back to still get enough work to be a worthwhile add to lineups this week.
