CLEVELAND, Ga. — The Governor’s Office of Highway Safety (GOHS) is teaming up with the Cleveland Police and Fire Departments to host a free child safety seat check on Tuesday, October 21, from 2 to 5 p.m.

The event will take place at the new Cleveland Fire Station, located at 84 East Underwood Street. Certified Child Passenger Safety Technicians will be on site to inspect child safety seats to ensure they are properly installed and appropriate for each child’s height and weight. Technicians will also check for seats that are expired, recalled, or defective.

Families can enjoy free popcorn and lemonade while supplies last.
