The Gainesville-based Humane Society of Northeast Georgia (HSNEGA) is sheltering some of the 77 cats seized during a recent hoarding investigation in Toccoa.

It is providing medical care and housing for 15 of the “most vulnerable” of cats.

They are suffering from dental diseases and severe upper respiratory illnesses. The goal of the Gainesville organization is to get them as ready as possible for adoption.
