A Jefferson driver suffered a medical emergency before crashing into a Flowery Branch home Tuesday morning according to officials.

The Georgia State Patrol (GSP) says troopers were dispatched at around 8 a.m. to the home on Martin Road near Laurel Oaks Drive.

After an investigation, it was determined 65-year-old Baron Ling lost consciousness while driving his Toyota RAV4 due to a medical issue and traveled down an embankment, striking the home.

Ling was transported by first responders for minor injuries.
