Nancy Lieberman Charities, in partnership with Sport Court and the Boys & Girls Clubs
of Lanier, have teamed up to provide a new basketball court. Ribbon-cutting for The Dream Court was held Thursday.
“The outdoor basketball court will serve as a safe place for community youth to play, make
friends, and build relationships with law enforcement,” according to a news release from the clubs. “The Dream Court is high school regulation size, 50-by-84 feet, with two basketball goals.” “
Nancy Lieberman Charities has donated over 135 Dream Courts throughout the country, and they serve more than five million youth each year.
The Gainesville facility is located at #1 Positive Place on the city’s east side near the hospital.
