The Boys & Girls Clubs of Lanier held its annual Youth of the Year Celebration at Lanier Technical College in Gainesville last week.
This year’s event, titled “Ignite the Future,” featured entertainment and artwork created by club kids, with the Youth of the Year awards also given out.
Jaemy Quito-Cruz, who won first place Youth of the Year in 2024, took home the award again for 2025. Jariel Hernandez won second place with Messiah Greaman winning third.
The 2025 Ignite the Future award was given to Boys & Girls Clubs of Lanier CEO Steve Mickens. Hogan Construction won the 2025 Building Great Futures Award, and Michele Piucci won the 2025 Phillip Sartain Helping Hands Award.
