LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. — Buford’s Carmel Williams and Dillon Nixon outscored Collins Hills in leading the Wolves to a 70-55 victory on Friday to open up its Region 8-6A schedule on the road on Tuesday.
Williams poured in 29 points and Nixon 26 to lead Buford to the win.
The Wolves (3-1, 1-0 Region 8-6A) opened up a 20-12 lead after the first quarter but the Eagles got within 34-28 by halftime. Buford pulled away in the second half, outscoring Collins Hill 36-27 in the third and fourth quarters.
Carter Oglesby led Collins Hill with 12 points. Nick Levi and Kal’el Riley each had 11 points for the Eagles.
Buford next travels to Central Gwinnett on Friday.
