Two Atlanta teens face charges including felony second degree burglary after they allegedly stole merchandise from the Buford Corn Maze Monday.
The Hall County Sheriff’s Office said that the suspects, identified as Daniela Martinez and Itzeo Pindea-Coria, both age 17, stole a plastic tub filled with stuffed toys, known as Squishmallows, from a shed at the business. The toys were valued at $600.
According to an HCSO investigation, an employee of the corn maze saw the suspects jump a fence carrying the tub of toys just after 10 p.m. The employee notified deputies, who were at the business working an extra-duty security job.
Martinez and Pindea-Coria were also charged with theft by taking and obstruction of an officer for refusing to give deputies their names and for pulling away as deputies handcuffed them.
The two remain in the Hall County Jail.
