A 21-year-old Gainesville man was arrested recently in Athens after police say they found him napping at the wheel of his car as it rolled down a street.
onlineathens.com reports that Zarius Jadaun Burch was arrested about two a.m. Dec. 20 after he was found passed out in his car at Thomas and Broad streets.
Police investigated after a 911 call that said a man was asleep at the wheel as his car rolled down Thomas Street. They said Burch admitted to having a few drinks.
After he refused to sobriety testing, police took Burch to a hospital to have his blood drawn for chemical analysis.
He was charged with DUI and illegally stopping a vehicle in the roadway.
