Every year we say this, but this season is truly flying by. The Dawgs only have four regular season games remaining. Going 3-1 *should* be enough to get in the playoffs.

As the leaves turn and the temps drop, let’s take a look at who is making headlines around the SEC.

Change at Auburn

Auburn has fired head coach Hugh Freeze after 2 1/2 seasons. The hire was questionable at the time, and it produced very little for the Tigers with Freeze going 15-19 overall and 6-16 in the SEC. Defensive coordinator DJ Durkin will be the interim head coach on the Plains

More Change at LSU

After head coach Brian Kelly was fired, LSU decision makers also decided to let go of athletic director Scott Woodward. Things are going great in Baton Rouge.

Freshman QB Time

With quarterback Beau Pribula down for an extended time and possibly the season, Missouri will turn to freshman Matt Zollers as QB1. Head coach Eli Drinkwitz has said they will play into Zollers’ strengths with their playcalling against #3 Texas A&M.

College Basketball is Back!

Though the Dawgs are still in the thick of the SEC and National Championship race, we do want to of course mention that college basketball started on Monday. While Georgia football takes priority over Georgia basketball in November, basketball schools like Kentucky, Auburn, and Tennessee are welcoming the opportunity to shift their attention to the hardwood.
