Napier Fired
Florida head coach Billy Napier was fired on Sunday, ending his term as the Gators head coach. Florida apparently made contact with Notre Dame head coach about the vacancy but were immediately and emphatically rebuffed. Things are going great in Gainesville.
Ya We’re Coming To Music City
ESPN’s College Gameday will be at Vanderbilt this weekend for the first time since 2008. I am extremely here for Vandy going to the playoff and head coach Clark Lea getting an extension to spurn openings at Florida and Auburn. I need the Vanderbilt head coach to turn down Florida and/or Auburn like I need air.
Texas Loses a Defensive Star
The Longhorns will be without senior safety Michael Taaffe after he underwent thumb surgery. Fortunately, the injury isn’t expected to end his season.
Quarterback Change for Auburn
Auburn head coach Hugh Freeze has said all three quarterbacks – Jackson Arnold, Ashton Daniels, and Deuce Knight – are in contention to be thrown under the bus after their game… ehhrmm… are in contention to play in their against Arkansas this weekend.
