Wicked: For Good costars Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo were not included in the 2026 Oscar nominations for Best Supporting Actress and Best Actress, respectively, when the nominations were announced on Thursday, Jan. 22. In fact, For Good — the second part of the two-part film adaptation of the Broadway musical — did not receive any nominations at all after the movie’s first part received 10 nominations and ultimately took home two trophies.
Both actresses were nominated last year for their performances in Wicked. Last year, Mikey Madison won the Oscar for Best Actress over Erivo for her performance in Anora, while Zoe Saldaña won Best Supporting Actress over Grande for her work in Emilia Pérez.

Erivo’s snub comes after she did not receive nominations for her work in Wicked: For Good at January’s Critics Choice Awards, where Grande was also nominated. Both Erivo and Grande were nominated for their performances at the Golden Globe Awards.
At the Golden Globes, Rose Byrne won over Erivo in the Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy category for If I Had Legs I’d Kick You, while One Battle After Another‘s Teyana Taylor won Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role over Grande.
