A woman long associated with such organizations as the Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce (GHCC), Interactive Neighborhood for Kids (INK), and Junior Achievement, and others has died. Dana Fowler Miller, 63, passed away Sunday at the age of 63.

Miller’s professional career began at the chamber where she was a communications director and event coordinator for the “Corn Tassel” festival, now known as Mule Camp Market.  After joining the team at INK as a marketing specialist, she returned to the chamber in 2007 as Vice President of Education where she oversaw leadership programs for over a decade.

Miller’s passion for youth and education became evident as one of the developers of the Youth Leadership Hall program.  In 2017, she joined the team at Junior Achievement of Northeast Georgia.

A memorial service will be held Sunday afternoon at 3:00 at Lakewood Baptist Church. A graveside service will be held at Whitfield Memorial Gardens in Dalton, where Fowler grew up, on Monday at 1:00.
