The Hall County Commission (HCC) will be facing a lengthy agenda when it meets for a work session and voting meeting this week.

There are plans for another planning commission appointment as the board moves to rebuild that body following the recent dismantling of the commission over charges of holding meetings that violated the state’s Open Meetings law. In addition, there are ten appointments to be made to the Impact Fee Stakehold Advisory Committee.

The board will consider a rezoning request for 26 acres at the intersection of Sardis Road and East Sardis Road where a boat and RV storage facility is planned. Also rezoning for 15 acres at Gainesville Highway and Ledford Road where a warehouse and distribution center are planned and eight acres at Lanier Islands Parkway and Beards Road where an office warehouse and outdoor storage are proposed. And on Lanier Islands Parkway near the Carter Road intersection, the rezoning of 17 acres for an Agri-entertainment venue.

Because Monday is a holiday, the commission work session will be held Tuesday. The voting meeting will be Thursday.

Both will be streamed live on this website.
