*North Hall High School Principal David Wagner has been named principal at Gainesville High School (GHS) effective July 1. Wagner will replace Roberto Rivera, who is retiring.
*An injured hiker is safe thanks to the hard work of emergency crews in Fannin County. Georgia News Network reports it took more than four hours to reach the hiker in the Cohutta wilderness due to several creek crossings and rough terrain. The hiker was then suspended by helicopter and taken to a staged medical unit.
