Lake Lanier Olympic Park beach side temporarily closes before this weekend; NCAA Championships preparations

Lake Lanier Olympic Park will have temporary closures to the public for their beach side, beginning later this week, as part of the preparation for the NCAA Rowing Championships and upcoming regatta events.
Gainesville is honored to host the 2026 NCAA Women’s Rowing Championships (Divisions I, II & III) at  Lake Lanier Olympic Park between May 29 and May 31.  As part of the area’s preparation for the national sporting event, the City of Gainesville officials are posting reminders at their social media page so that residents and visitors to Lake Lanier Olympic Park will remember that:
• Beach side closes Friday, May 22, at 5 p.m.
• Boat ramp remains open until Monday, May 25, at 11:59 p.m.
Gainesville officials are kindly asking everyone to please plan accordingly before visiting the park as the city will prepare to welcome the NCAA teams and visitors to the City of Gainesville, Georgia!
