The annual Spring Game for Rabun County and White County is set, and will give a great glimpse of where each program is at.

RABUN COUNTY

The Wildcats graduated a slew of veterans, led by back-to-back BLITZ Player of the Year Reid Giles and QB Ty Truelove. Lake Evans, Dane Tyler, Noah English, Ethan Hopper, the list goes on. However, there are still some players returning that will be ready to step into the spotlight – JK Fruster, Mack Williams, Brock Brady, Reed Burrell, Reed Lafevers, Colter Cannon, Ryan Yearwood – those are guys that already have proven they can get it done. The spring game is a launchpad for some others, too.

WHITE COUNTY

The Warriors had a late surge last season as some players really began to emerge as the next group of playmakers for White County. Seniors Gaines Clark and Zach Godfrey are the leaders, and others such as Jack Clark, Brinn Robinson, Savion Anderson, and others are set to have big seasons this coming fall. This early opportunity is going to be big for each of them.

OUR PREDICTION

While predictions are fun, there’s really no point for the spring game. The goal here isn’t a win or loss, and the varsity players only will play the first half. Therefore, predictions are moot for this one. OUR PICK: SEE HERE (coming in the fall)

DO WE BRING LUCK?

For Rabun County, the Wildcats have gone 56-18 overall in our 74 games covered for them going back to 2013. For White County, the Warriors are 18-22 in games we’ve covered since 2009.

HISTORICALLY SPEAKING

Rabun County owns this all-time series 28-10, and have reeled off four straight in 2025, 2024, 2017, and 2016. The last White County victory came in 2001, a 17-14 final. There was a 15-year hiatus for the teams to meet up between 2001-2016, but the history dates back to 1958. Rabun County won the first nine meetings until the Warriors won back-to-back in shutouts in 1971-72. Rabun got back in the win column in 1973, but White County won the next two in consecutive years. Both sides were fairly even from 1974-88. But since ’88, Rabun has won 11 of the last 12 overall.
