The BLITZ Baseball Players of the Week are Jackson Beasley (Jefferson) and Mason Griffin (Franklin). Beasley won the Fan Vote with 14,716 of the 26,426 total votes. Griffin was the BLITZ Pick.
JACKSON BEASLEY – JEFFERSON
Jefferson always has that next guy to step up. In the second round of the playoffs, it was Jackson Beasley. The sophomore pitcher allowed just three hits and a run, going 5.1 innings of work while picking up a win. He sported a 1.32 ERA and struck out eight batters. This is his first POW award.
MASON GRIFFIN – FRANKLIN COUNTY
Mason Griffin had a memorable outing in the second round for Franklin County. The Lions’ sophomore shortstop hit .600 in the series (3-for-5), blasting a homer, driving in seven runs, and adding two doubles. This is his first POW award.
