MURRAYVILLE, Ga. — Fire destroyed a home in Murrayville late Monday night, displacing two residents.
Hall County Fire Rescue (HCFR) responded around 11 p.m. on April 20 to the 7400 block of Dogwood Trail after receiving reports of a residential fire. Firefighters arrived to find heavy flames coming from the back of the two-story home, said HCFR spokesperson Kimberlie Ledsinger.
Firefighters moved in, attacking the blaze from both inside and outside the structure. Crews were able to bring the fire under control, but not before it consumed the structure.
The flames spread beyond the house, igniting two vehicles and nearby woods. Firefighters extinguished those fires as well.
Officials said the home is a total loss. Both residents were accounted for at the scene, but they were left without a place to stay.
No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Hall County Fire Marshal’s Office.
This is the fifth house in Hall County destroyed by fire since April 19.
