HABERSHAM COUNTY, Ga. — Six people, including four children, were injured Monday night in a two-vehicle crash on Ga. 365 near Crane Mill Road, according to the Georgia State Patrol.

The crash happened around 8:22 p.m. on April 20 when one driver attempted to turn left across traffic and failed to yield, investigators said.

Troopers say 29-year-old Erendira Bravo Dimas of Alto was driving a 2024 Ford Mustang south on Ga. 365 when she tried to turn left onto Crane Mill Road. At the same time, a 2014 Dodge Journey driven by 18-year-old Jozlynne Powell of Cornelia was traveling north on the highway. The Mustang turned into the path of the oncoming vehicle, striking the Journey on its left front side.

The impact sent the Dodge Journey off the roadway, where it overturned and came to rest on its side. The Mustang came to a stop at the point of impact.

All six people involved were transported by Habersham County EMS to Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville for treatment.

Both drivers were injured, along with their passengers, including two girls, ages 12 and 6, in Bravo Dimas’ vehicle, and two girls, ages 14 and 3, in Powell’s SUV.

Troopers cited Bravo Dimas for failure to yield while turning left and for a child restraint violation, according to the report.
