EAST FIRST ROUND No. 8 ORLANDO (+380) vs. No. 1 DETROIT (-500)ORL leads 1-0 GAME 2 — ORL @ DET (April 22) Spread: Pistons -9.5Moneyline: Pistons -395, Magic +310O/U: 216.5 What to know: The Magic were the only lower-seeded team to win a Game 1 in Round 1 … and it was kinda easy? Orlando led by eight after one, four at half, seven after the third and won by 11. All five of its starters scored in double-figures, while only two players eclipsed 10 points for the Pistons. No. 7 PHILADELPHIA (+600) vs. No. 2 BOSTON (-900) BOS leads 1-0 GAME 2 — PHI @ BOS (April 21) Spread: Celtics -14.5Moneyline: Celtics -900, 76ers +600O/U: 216.5 What to know: Boston made Game 1 look easy, leading by 18 at half and cruising to a 32-point win. Its dynamic duo of Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown combined for 51 points on 20-for-38 shooting. No. 6 ATLANTA (+330) vs. No. 3 NEW YORK (-425)NYK leads 1-0 GAME 2 — ATL @ NYK (April 20) Spread: Knicks -5.5Moneyline: Knicks -225, Hawks +185O/U: 216.5 What to know: Jalen Brunson and Karl-Anthony Towns combined to score 53 points, but the difference in Game 1 was at the free-throw line, where the Knicks made 25 of 30 attempts, compared to 12 of 19 for the Hawks. No. 5 TORONTO (+550) vs. No. 4 CLEVELAND (-800)CLE leads 1-0 GAME 2 — TOR @ CLE (April 20) Spread: Cavs -8.5Moneyline: Cavs -345, Raptors +275O/U: 222.5 What to know: A 36-22 third quarter pretty much sealed Game 1 for the Cavaliers, after they led by seven at half. James Harden and Donovan Mitchell combined for 54 points and 14 assists on 50% shooting. Not a bad playoff debut for the star backcourt. WEST FIRST ROUND No. 8 PHOENIX (+1300) vs. No. 1 OKLAHOMA CITY (-3000)OKC leads 1-0 GAME 2 — PHX @ OKC (April 22) Spread: Thunder -17.5Moneyline: Thunder -1650, Suns +950O/U: 213.5 What to know: If the Thunder that showed up in Game 1 is the Thunder that shows up throughout these playoffs, it might be a repeat in the making. OKC led by 31 going into the fourth quarter, eventually notching a 35-point win, and none of its starters even played 30 minutes. No. 7 PORTLAND (+1000) vs. No. 2 SAN ANTONIO (-2000)SAS leads 1-0 GAME 2 — POR @ SAS (April 21) Spread: Spurs -12.5Moneyline: Spurs -650, Blazers +470O/U: 219.5 What to know: In his playoff debut, Victor Wembanyama finished with 35 points, five rebounds and two blocks in 33 minutes. Quite the debut in the Spurs’ 13-point win. It was by no means a blowout, but San Antonio outscored the Blazers in every quarter except the fourth, losing that frame by two. No. 6 MINNESOTA (+450) vs. No. 3 DENVER (-600)DEN leads 1-0 GAME 2 — MIN @ DEN (April 20) Spread: Nuggets -6.5Moneyline: Nuggets -258, Wolves +210O/U: 230.5 What to know: Denver won a choppy Game 1 behind 25 points, 13 rebounds and 11 assists from Nikola Jokić. However, the most telling stat-line was that Anthony Edwards shot 7-for-19 from the field. Can his knee hold up enough to give the Wolves a chance? No. 5 HOUSTON (-225) vs. No. 4 LA LAKERS (+185)LAL leads 1-0 GAME 2 — HOU @ LAL (April 21) Spread: Rockets -4.5Moneyline: Rockets -175, Lakers +145O/U: 205.5 What to know: Misfortune struck the Lakers at the end of the regular season, with Luka Dončić and Austin Reaves both suffering injuries that could keep them out of the first round of the playoffs. However, the same was the case with Houston ahead of Game 1, with Kevin Durant missing the game due to a knee injury. Luke Kennard led the way with 27 points, going 5-for-5 from distance.
