Stephens County residents took advantage of Amnesty Day on Saturday, April 11. This dump your junk for free event at the bulky items drop-off center of the Road Department on Scenic Drive allowed residents to dispose of garbage, said Stephens County Administrator Christian Hamilton.

Volunteers from Keep Toccoa-Stephens County Beautiful (KTSCB) directed traffic. KTSCB Executive Director James Addison thanked everyone for making the day possible.

Aimed at making Toccoa and Stephens County the most beautiful and livable community, KTSCB works to inspire residents to take an active part in making and keeping the community clean and beautiful through litter reduction, proper waste recycling and disposal, and caring for the land, lakes, streams, and property.
