CLARKESVILLE — The Habersham County Board of Education will hold its regular monthly meeting Monday evening, with recognitions, financial updates and personnel decisions on the agenda.
The meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m. at the board office.
Board members will begin with routine business, including approval of the agenda and minutes from the March work session and regular meeting.
Recognitions planned
Several recognitions are scheduled, including the Peach State Federal Credit Union’s Extra Mile Award and Service Above Self Award. Board members Russ Nelson and Doug Westmoreland are also set to be honored for their service.
The Habersham Central High School indoor drumline will receive special recognition during the meeting.
Financial and superintendent reports
The board will hear a financial report and an update from Superintendent Patrick Franklin.
Following public comment, board members are expected to consider approval of the consent agenda, which includes per diem payments for recent meetings and field trip requests.
Business items
Under new business, the board will vote on personnel recommendations and approval of the financial report.
The meeting will conclude with adjournment following discussion of scheduled items.
