Mr. Roy Gibson, age 85, passed away Thursday, March 26, 2026, at Pruitt Health Toccoa.
A son of the late Owen Gibson and Dicey Lawrence Gibson, he was born August 6, 1940, in Maysville, Georgia, having lived most of his life in Franklin County. He was a self-employed appliance repairman. He enjoyed building bird houses and donated his time to New Beginnings Ministry. He was a member of Gateway Community Chapel.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Kinsey Gibson.
He is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, John and Lisa Gibson of Eastanollee, Georgia, James and Virginia Gibson and Roy Lynn Gibson both of Toccoa; daughter, Jane Thomas of Toccoa; eight grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Monday, March 30, 2026, 11:00 a.m. in the Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree-Davis Funeral Home with The Reverend Don Scott officiating.
The family will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Monday from 10 a.m. until the service time at 11;00 a.m.
Interment will be in the Stephens Memorial Gardens with the Acree-Davis Funeral Home and Crematory in charge of the arrangements for Mr. Roy Gibson.
