Arrest in 6-year-old Oakwood theft

A 33-year-old man remained in the Hall County Jail early Sunday night on bonds totaling $10,400 following his arrest last week in a theft case Oakwood Police began investigating almost six years ago.

OAKWOOD POLICE NEWS RELEASE:

“On 11/18/2019 Officers were notified of a financial transaction card case that happened at Wal Mart in Oakwood. The suspect was later identified by the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office.

Total amount of completed transactions is $604.67 Total amount of attempted transactions is $398.70

 Total $1,003.37

The Walmart Security Camera footage confirmed that the suspect was the one involved in these fraudulent transactions.

On 11/19/2019 Oakwood PD CID obtained an arrest warrant for Kendel on 8 counts of Financial Transaction Card Fraud.’
