*(SRN NEWS/AP) – Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens said Sunday night officers from ICE and Homeland Security Investigations would be deployed to the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport starting Monday morning. Others are going airports around the country, as ordered by President Trump Sunday. At the airport on Sunday, some travelers waited in line for nearly six hours at the main security checkpoint. Dickens added “Federal officials have indicated that this deployment is not intended to conduct immigration enforcement activities.”

*Data centers continue to pop-up all over Georgia. A nonprofit, Science for Georgia, estimates there are around 100 in Georgia, but the exact number is uncertain due to the lack of a public database maintained by the state government. Dr. Amy Sharma warns about Senate Bill 410, which aims to restrict tax exemptions for data centers and protect consumers from rising energy costs. Yet, Dr. Sharma tells NPR that she believes it does not adequately protect consumers from data center costs. Which could result in higher bills for residents. The bill is currently in the House for further consideration.

* A Coweta County deputy sheriff is being treated for serious injuries suffered in an interstate wreck Sunday morning. The sheriff’s office says the deputy’s patrol car was struck by another vehicle during a traffic stop on I-85.
