
Some people in Hall and other counites in the immediate area are now reporting power outages as a result of the storms that moved into northeast Georgia about 6:30 this morning.
At 7:15, Jackson EMC’s outage map showed it had about 1,600 customers in Hall, Barrow, Athens-Clarke, Banks, Gwinnett and Madison counties who were in the dark – most of them in Athens-Clarke.
The top wind gusts at the Gainesville airport as the storm blew through was 20 mph and rainfall during that hour measured 1/4 inch.

Meanwhile, in the immediate Hall County are, in addition to Hall, Georgia Power at the same time was reporting outages in Dawson, White, Habersham, Lumpkin and Banks counties.
