CLARKESVILLE, Ga. — A heavy law enforcement presence was reported Tuesday on the outskirts of Clarkesville as multiple agencies worked an active drug investigation.
Authorities were operating on Minyard Lane off Church Sawmill Road, where deputies and sheriff’s office K-9 units were observed at the scene.
Officials tell Now Georgia they are in the early stages of the operation. Additional details about the scope of the investigation have not yet been released.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation’s Appalachian Regional Drug Enforcement Office (ARDEO) is leading the investigation.
