HBO has released the first official trailer for DTF St. Louis, a darkly comic limited series set to premiere March 1 on HBO and Max. While the seven-episode drama is set in Missouri, the series was filmed in Georgia, continuing the state’s long-running role as a stand-in for the Midwest.
The trailer offers an early look at several recognizable Georgia locations, including Stoney J’s Winery in Cumming and Cauley Creek Park in Johns Creek, both of which appear in early scenes.
A Dark Comedy Rooted in a Love Triangle
Written and directed by Steven Conrad (Patriot), DTF St. Louis blends suburban malaise, dark humor, and true-crime tension. The story centers on a love triangle involving three middle-aged adults whose lives unravel after they encounter an app called DTF St. Louis—with “DTF” standing for “down to f**k.”
The trailer opens on a disturbing note, flashing police tape, a crime scene, and eventually a body on the ground. What begins as an ordinary suburban existence quickly spirals into suspicion, betrayal, and murder.

In the trailer, police question whether Carol ever considered leaving her husband, hinting at deeper secrets and shifting loyalties.
Georgia Locations Visible in the Trailer
While the series presents itself as a Missouri-set drama, the trailer makes it clear that Georgia stood in for the Midwest once again.

Stoney J’s Winery (Cumming, Georgia)
One of Georgia’s best and most picturesque wineries will be featured in several scenes throughout the series. The trailer shows an interior scene with Bateman and Harbour. If you’ve never visited Stoney J’s you should definitely visit.
- Cauley Creek Park (Johns Creek, Georgia
The park shows up in outdoor sequences that emphasize the calm, everyday setting before the story descends into suspicion and violence.
A Cast Deeply Familiar with Georgia Productions
Georgia is familiar territory for the show’s leads. Bateman previously anchored Netflix’s Ozark, another Missouri-set story that was largely filmed in Georgia. Harbour, meanwhile, spent years shooting in the state on Stranger Things, as well as Thunderbolts* and other Marvel projects.
