Jennifer Aniston’s Boyfriend Jim Curtis Shares How Their Love Story Began: ‘It Took a Long Time’

Jim Curtis is shedding some light on his nearly one-year romance with girlfriend Jennifer Aniston.

The hypnotherapist and health and wellness expert appeared on the Today show on Monday, Jan. 26, to discuss his practices and new book, The Book of Possibility, when interviewer Craig Melvin managed to sneak in a few questions about his A-list relationship.

When asked how he met the Friends star, Curtis replied, “We were just introduced by friends. That’s it. We found out that we had mutual friends and we started to just chat.”

Curtis added that their talks didn’t immediately lead to a relationship.

“It took a long time, we chatted for a long time and we became close,” he noted.

As for how long they’ve been together, Curtis kept it vague, but did share, “A long time, months now, almost close to a year.”

Melvin joked, “I’m not gonna put you on the spot anymore because you’re kind of blushing right now,” to which Curtis admitted, “Okay, yeah I sure am.”

The couple went Instagram official with their romance in November with Aniston posting a photo of herself with her arms wrapped around Curtis and the caption, “Happy birthday my love Cherished ❤️”

Prior to that public declaration, they had sparked romance rumors since July 2025 when they were spotted out in Mallorca, Spain together, alongside stars including Jason Bateman, his wife Amanda Anka and Amy Schumer.

Earlier this month, a source shared details on the couple’s romance with PEOPLE.

“She had a great end to the year and feels really good about where things are with Jim,” the source said of Aniston. “She’s excited about this new year and what’s ahead, especially with Jim by her side now. Jen’s always been fine on her own and comfortable being single, but her relationship with Jim is just different.”

“She’s very happy and comfortable,” the source added at the time. “He’s just so sweet and supportive of her. He makes her everyday life better.”
