And here we are. The 2025 college football season has reached its conclusion with 135 teams vying to get to where only two could.
The Miami Hurricanes and Indiana Hoosiers will square off this evening with a national title on the line. Very few people saw this matchup coming when the season opened, yet both teams have survived enough challenges to rightly say they’ve earned the right to play for a title.
Kickoff will be some time after 7:30 on ESPN. The Hoosiers are a solid touchdown favorite wherever you get your betting odds, and it would be a decided upset for them to lose their first game of the season. On the bright side, if I’d told you a mere 13 months ago that would mean Carson Beck was winning a national title that would have made you pretty happy, right? Right?
