A former Jeopardy! winner has been arrested on two charges of felony secret peeping.
Philip Joseph “Joey” DeSena, 42, is accused of installing a camera in a victim’s bedroom and bathroom, per an arrest warrant filed by the Currituck County Sheriff’s Office obtained by PEOPLE.
According to the Nov. 26 warrant, the defendant “unlawfully, willfully, and feloniously” secretly or surreptitiously installed “any device that can be used to create a photographic image, namely a camera,” placed in the bathroom and bedroom “with the intent to capture the image of another without their consent.”
The incident allegedly occurred on Oct. 10.
DeSena, who lives in Raleigh, N.C., was arrested on Dec. 1.
According to NJ.com, DeSena, a development engineer, won the game show twice in November 2024 and earned $44,698. He came back to the show for the Champions Wildcard Tournament in January, where he vied for a place in the Tournament of Champions, the outlet reported, adding that he lost in the semi-finals.

A $5,000 bond was posted Wednesday, Dec. 3.
A probable cause hearing has been scheduled for Wednesday, Dec. 10. DeSena’s attorney could not be reached for comment.
