Everywhere you look, a company is launching a new red dot sight on the market. While many are mediocre at best, several come from trusted brands with strong reputations. This becomes especially clear at the budget end of the spectrum. That’s why, when Viridian Weapon Technologies announced their latest optic, I took notice. If Viridian sounds familiar, it’s because they are well-established in the weapon-mounted laser market, focusing on green lasers, which shouldn’t be a surprise when examining the details of their new optic.
THE VENTA
Viridian Weapon Technologies introduced the VENTA Green Dot, a purpose-built reflex sight designed for quick target acquisition, sharp clarity, and reliable performance across defense, duty, and recreational shooting applications. The VENTA’s crisp 2 MOA green dot, fully multi-coated 1×22 mm lens, and sealed IPX7-rated housing ensure dependable operation in tough conditions while providing a bright, easy-to-aim sight picture.
Designed for modern rifle platforms, the VENTA Green Dot features INSTANT-ON® motion-activation and digital brightness controls with 10 settings—including two night-vision-compatible modes. It has a rugged 6061-T6 aluminum body with a hard-anodized finish, available in black or FDE. The optic includes a 1.41″ co-witness mount, fits an Aimpoint T2 footprint, weighs only 5 ounces, and provides up to 30,000 hours of battery life on a single CR2032.
