Four North Georgia nonprofits will share $200,000 in Opportunity Grants from the North Georgia Community Foundation to expand youth programs, education initiatives, recovery services and accessibility projects across the region.
Gainesville-Hall County recipients included the Boys & Girls Clubs of Lanier that will use funds to launch a new middle school program at the Walters Club in Hall County, and J’s Place Recovery Center that will use funds open a second facility in Dawson County for peer recovery coaching, employment and résumé support, access to local treatment resources and services for individuals affected by substance-use disorder.
