A Buford man remains in the Hall County Jail without bond on charges including false imprisonment stemming from a domestic violence incident at his home early Friday morning.

The Hall County Sheriff’s Office says deputies responded to a call about a physical domestic dispute at a house in the 4900 block of Peachtree Drive at 2:30 a.m.

As deputies were arriving, the driver of a car, later identified as the suspect, pulled from the driveway onto the road and then immediately into another driveway. Some deputies met with the driver, Job Toto Dominguez, 41, while others met with the female victim, 42, at the house.

HCSO said an initial investigation determined that Toto Dominguez and the victim were arguing when he allegedly shoved the victim down, slapped her in her face and twisted her arm behind her back.

He then reportedly confined the victim to a bedroom in the house for a time by holding her down on the bed. He also committed the crimes in the presence of a juvenile, HCSO said..

Deputies meeting with Toto Dominguez at his car cited him for DUI and open container violation. Deputies investigating the incident at the home charged him with the following crimes in addition to false imprisonment:

  • Simple battery under the Family Violence Act (misdemeanor)
  • Simple assault under the Family Violence Act (misdemeanor)
  • Third-degree cruelty to children (misdemeanor)
