A play yards product sold on Amazon by Anna Queen has been recalled.
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced the recall on Thursday, Nov. 20, noting that the item was recalled “due to risk of serious injury or death” if a child used it.
“The play yards violate the mandatory standard for play yards,” the CPSC wrote. “Infants can become entrapped under the mattress or between the side of the play yard and the mattress, posing a risk of serious injury or deadly suffocation hazard.”

The playpen has “black fabric sides and mesh panels bordered in gray” and top rails are covered with white fabric with “a multi-colored print with bear faces, paws and the word ‘bear.’” The mattress also has the same bear print.
The product has “Model: P700” and “Production Date: 202503” printed on the packaging and on a removable tag included with the play yard, per the CPSC.

The agency warned that people who purchased the product should “immediately stop” using it and contact the company, Anna Queen, for a refund.
They also noted that in order to receive a full refund from the company, people who purchased the product should “disassemble the fabric cover from the play yard frame, cut up the cover and mattress pad” and then send a photo of the destroyed play yard Anna Queen. After doing that, they will then be able to throw away the destroyed play yard.

According to the CPSC, a play yard is described as “a framed enclosure that includes a floor and has mesh or fabric sides.” It also noted that play yards “provide sleeping and playing accommodation for a child who cannot climb out and is less than 35 [inches] in height.”
Some of the general requirements for a play yard is that it must have a certain “height of sides,” “side deflection and strength” and “floor strength.” There are also “mesh requirements” and “fabric material requirements” that must be met in order for it to work properly.
