GAINESVILLE, Ga. — Both Lakeview Academy teams stayed unbeaten in the early going with dominating wins at home over Monsignor Donovan on Thursday.
The boys took a 86-51 win as all 10 players scored on the night. That followed the girls 67-9 rout in the first game.
For the boys, it was a tight game in the first half as the Lions (2-0) led just 37-31 at the break. But they exploded in the second half. Lakeview outscored Monsignor Donovan 49-20 in the second half to pull away for the lopsided victory.
Jacob Norton led the way with 20 points. Parker Waugh had 17 points, Christian Fragoso 15 points, Will Rogers 14 points, and Lewis Roberts added 9 points for the Lions.
In the girls game, the Lady Lions started strong and never let up.
Emyrie Combs paced Lakeview Academy (2-0) with 19 points. Cathrine Rowland Williams had 14 points for the Lady Lions.
