The top figure for the Town of Braselton’s Police Department is stepping away from the department and retiring.
A formal announcement from the Town of Braselton’s social media page on Wednesday says that Police Chief Michael Steffman has announced his retirement and resignation from the department for what was listed as “personal reasons.”
Braselton Town Manager Jennifer Scott says in the press release that Zach Tiller (pictured) has been appointed as the Interim Chief of Police, effective immediately.
