Week 12 is here and if you are still in the hunt for a fantasy championship belt, then I’ve got some running back rankings for you! Last week there were three backs with three touchdowns and two with two. Quite symmetrical. Tre’Veyon Henderson, Kenny Gainwell and Sean Tucker were the most interesting names, as Christian McCaffrey and Bijan Robinson weren’t as surprising. Below, let’s see who might break the running back ranks this week.
Week 12 byes
Denver Broncos, Los Angeles Chargers, Washington Commanders, Miami Dolphins
Wide receivers on bye
Courtland Sutton, Troy Franklin, Ladd McConkey, Quentin Johnston, Keenan Allen, Deebo Samuel, Jaylen Waddle
WR streamer of the week
Kashon Boutte, Patriots vs. Bengals
Boutte missed the last two weeks with a hamstring injury, but head coach Mike Vrabel believes he will return to practice on Wednesday. Boutte remains a low volume, big play receiver, but with a great matchup against the Bengals. The team missed his big play ability while he was gone, and I expect Drake Maye will want to get that connection going again. In the three games before his injury, Boutte had an outstanding 10-223-4 receiving line on 12 targets.
WR injuries
Ja’Marr Chase, Bengals
At this point, Chase has been suspended one game due to spitting on Jalen Ramsey of the Steelers. He will appeal the suspension, but if it holds up, Andrei Iosivas and Noah Fant will likely see an increase in work against the Patriots.
Drake London, Falcons
London suffered a sprained PCL in Week 11 against the Panthers. He will miss this week and there’s a chance he could miss more time. The Falcons will be without their quarterback and best receiver against the Saints in Week 12.
Brian Thomas Jr., Jaguars
Thomas Jr. has missed the last two games due to an ankle injury, but did get in limited practices last week. It would seem that he has a decent chance to play this week against the Cardinals.
Marvin Harrison Jr., Cardinals
Harrison underwent appendicitis surgery last week and was unable to play. It sounds like he has a chance to play this week, but there haven’t been any official updates of yet. We’ll need to take a wait to see attitude ahead of their matchup with the Jaguars.
Calvin Ridley, Titans
Ridley suffered a hamstring injury in Week 6 and has been unable to play since. He is coming off a bye this week, so it would stand to reason he has a chance to return against the Texans in a tough matchup.
