The BLITZ Football Players of the Week are Reed Lafevers (Rabun) and Davon Swinton (Stephens). Lafevers won the Fan Vote with 3,600 of the 8,409 total votes. Swinton and Pinkard were the BLITZ Picks.
REED LAFEVERS – RABUN COUNTY
Reed Lafevers hauled in three passes for 120 yards. Each time he caught a ball from Ty Truelove, it seemed like it was a huge play. The junior had two TDs in the playoff win over Dodge County, earning his first BLITZ POW award.
DAVON SWINTON – STEPHENS COUNTY
Davon Swinton lifted the Indians to a crucial playoff win on the road at Crisp County. The senior had 11 catches for 173 yards and a TD, and takes his third career POW award.
DARREN PINKARD – JEFFERSON
Darren Pinkard had a phenomenal game for the Jefferson Dragons in their playoff win. The senior athlete had 157 rushing yards on 13 carries with a TD. He added 65 receiving yards on four catches. This is his first POW award.
