Through each full week of sports in the school year, we’ll recognize the Teams of the Week, brought to you by Cofield Outdoors!
Football – Rabun County Wildcats
The Wildcats scored 42 straight points after Dodge County had tied the game at 14 apiece early in the second quarter. The defense came away with three takeaways and had two turnovers on downs. The offense clicked all night, with the pass and run being effective in a massive first round win.
Girls Basketball – Lumpkin County Lady Indians
Lumpkin County got out to a quick 2-0 start. The Lady Indians took a 63-32 win over East Jackson, then a 64-48 win over Stephens County. Maddie Lee has been playing at a high level.
Boys Basketball – Banks County Leopards
The Leopards won their first three games of the season to start out 3-0. Everyone is playing well for Banks County. BC beat Apalachee 57-54 in double OT. They followed that with a 67-34 blowout win over Riverside, then beat White County 100-66.
